What is IGA?
IGA (Identity Governance and Administration), is the discipline that combines identity management with governance, control and compliance for access rights within an organization.
IGA focuses on who has access to what, why they have access, and whether that access is still required. This includes processes such as access requests, approvals, role models, periodic access reviews and certification.
IGA can be compared to an access ledger: it provides visibility, control and an audit trail for all identities and entitlements.
