Our ESG efforts

We take our environmental responsibility seriously

As a Miljøfyrtårn-certified company, we continuously work to reduce our carbon footprint through sustainable operations, responsible waste management, and energy efficiency.

Since 2019, we’ve partnered with Chooose, a platform that helps businesses manage and scale sustainability initiatives. Through their software, we plan, procure, and report on our sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and carbon programs, driving real impact in reducing CO₂ emissions and supporting global sustainability projects.

Putting People First

We believe a diverse, inclusive, and supportive workplace is key to long-term success. Our Chief People Officer, Mia Merethe Skriver Haukås, ensures our team has the tools and support they need—offering coaching not just to employees, but also to their family members.

We’ve embraced remote work long before it became the norm, giving our consultants flexibility and work-life balance. To maintain a strong company culture, we host virtual team lunches, monthly knowledge-sharing sessions, and social gatherings, ensuring everyone stays connected, even when working with clients.

Beyond Sicra, we’ve partnered with NAV to help individuals with disabilities return to work and regularly support charities like Blå Kors, Mental Helse Ungdom, and Sykehusklovnene. Instead of our company holiday party, we donate those funds to causes that need them most.

Strong governance is the backbone of sustainable business. Our ISO27001 certification ensures we meet the highest standards for information security, risk management, and data protection—so our clients can trust that their most valuable information is in safe hands.

Bluetree (Blue Tree AS – now part of Sicra) is also ISO 9001:2015 certified (StandCert) for quality management. The certification covers the delivery of IT consulting services, project management, design, implementation, maintenance, software development, system integration, IT infrastructure operations, and sales within information technology, ensuring structured quality management and continuous improvement.

Together, this provides a strong framework for quality, security, and responsible corporate governance, supporting our ESG efforts in practice.

We take responsibility for our climate impact by purchasing CO₂ quotas equal to four times the amount of an average Norwegian’s annual carbon footprint. This is part of our commitment to protecting the planet and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Instead of a traditional Christmas party, we choose to donate the funds to organizations that create a better society for those who need it most. Making a positive contribution is valuable in itself.
