What is certificate management?
Certificate management is the process of creating, distributing, renewing, and revoking digital certificates. In cybersecurity, certificates are used to sign, verify identity, and secure communication between users, devices, and services.
Poor certificate control can lead to outages, weaker authentication, and increased risk.
Think of certificates as digital access badges. When they are valid and well managed, access is secure. If they expire or are misused, trust breaks down.
Sicra and certificate management
Certificate management is closely linked to identity, access, and secure authentication. This is a core principle in Zero Trust and SASE, where trust must be continuously established and assessed.
In Sicra’s services, this appears in assessments of identity, access, and security architecture, helping organizations reduce risk and improve control.
