Lily Lyu is a Senior Network Consultant with extensive experience in networking and network security. She comes from Bluetree and views the merger with Sicra as a natural progression, with a focus on clear frameworks, professional development, and strong customer deliveries.

What do you work with, and which technologies do you use in your role today?

I primarily work with networking and network security. I hold a degree in telecommunications and have worked in the industry since 2011 in various roles, ranging from technical sales to engineering. I have experience from vendors, service providers, and the public sector, and I have worked as a consultant since March 2024.

The technologies I use in my current role mainly include network security solutions from Palo Alto Networks, NSX-T, Big-IP from F5, as well as Cisco Software-Defined Access, ISE, and to some extent Catalyst Center. Previously, I have also worked with Versa SD-WAN and Aruba ClearPass. I am currently taking courses and certifications within Zscaler SASE.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

My work with customers varies from day to day. I usually work on firewall-related tasks, as well as networking issues and troubleshooting. From time to time, I also write technical guides that are shared with the team.

What does success mean to you in a professional context?

For me, it is important to deliver what has been promised to the customer, as customer satisfaction gives me a lot of positive energy. It is also important for me to maintain good relationships with my colleagues.

What motivates you in your daily work? What do you find most rewarding?

Small things, such as solving a problem or learning something new every day, motivate me the most.

What are you most looking forward to in the time ahead?

I look forward to following Sicra’s development and seeing how my professional growth can evolve alongside the merger.

Which app or tool do you use the most in your daily work, and why?

At work, I primarily use CyberArk PAM, Microsoft Teams, and Splunk.

What do you enjoy spending time on outside of work?

I enjoy going for walks or jogging, reading, and listening to YouTube channels or audiobooks.

I am completely hopeless at quizzes.

Working from home or the office? The office.

Biometrics or passcode? I have no preference. When it comes to biometrics, it is important to me that privacy is handled properly and securely.

Face ID or Touch ID? No preference here either. Privacy and secure handling remain the most important factors.
