I find it exciting and I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together in the future. The result will be a gathering of many skilled people with a lot of knowledge and experience.
I work with network and security. Lately I have mainly worked with Wi-Fi, and have designed, installed and troubleshot wireless networks in everything from offices, automobile workshops to warehouses. I have mainly used products from Ekahau and Metageek for this work. Additionally, I have also touched on most of Cisco’s product areas over the years.
As I am relatively new to Bluetree I haven’t really had what I would call a typical workday yet, but in my previous employment I mainly spent my days working on Wi-Fi surveys, redesign or greenfield Wi-Fi deployments and assisting with the Wi-Fi installations I had designed. So far in Bluetree my days have varied with some Wi-Fi and general networking assistance for Bluetree Operations, in addition to some shorter networking jobs for customers.
I am motivated by contributing to providing my customers with as good a solution and customer experience as possible. The most satisfying jobs are where I help improve the situation for the customer, be it tidying up the existing solution or designing something completely new, and the customer actually feeling that things have improved.
I am looking forward to getting to know not only my colleagues in Sicra, but also my still relatively new colleagues in Bluetree. I believe there will be some exiting times ahead.
My favorite English quote would probably be: It’s not only only, but but (Petter Solberg, even though he probably never said it)
I like to travel and spend time with my family and friends, going out for dinner/bowling etc.
Fun fact: Johan Olav Koss and Ådne Søndrål once tried teaching me to skate (again), but failed.
Working from home or the office? It really depends on what I will be working on. If I am working on Wi-Fi projects I prefer working from home as I have a 3-monitor setup there and it’s easier to concentrate however, meeting my colleagues at the office is always nice.
Biometrics or code? Biometrics
Face ID or Touch ID? Touch ID
Vipps or cash? Vipps
Gaming or TV? Lately I have spent little time on either, but if you count streaming services as TV then that is probably the one. But if the game is good, I can indulge for some hours.
Book or podcast? Podcast
Vacation in Norway or abroad? I can’t choose, but on a perfect summers day there is nowhere I would rather be than good ol’ Arendal and the local archipelago.
