The story before Credo Partners came into the picture

Valderhaug established Sicra in 2016 to create a good and safe workplace. With a unique management philosophy and corporate culture, Sicra has attracted and retained some of Norway's best IT security professionals for years.

Sicra has grown steadily since its inception and is today one of the most recognized environments in the Nordics within IT security, networking, and infrastructure.

To gain the financial muscle to further develop the company, Sicra has been looking for a partner with the funds and expertise to help the company become a major player in the Nordics.

Now, the right partner has been found. Credo Partners is coming in with growth capital and taking over 51 percent of the company's shares.

In connection with the transaction, existing shareholders will reinvest a large percentage of the proceeds. Other employees will also be invited to invest in the company.

Growing with services

– We have long been looking at investment opportunities in the cybersecurity market. As always, we look for high-quality professional competence, a strong value proposition to customers and employees, and a value base we identify with.

– We believe that good culture and employee satisfaction create good customer experiences. We found all of this in Sicra, says Pål Prydz, partner at Credo Partners.

Prydz emphasizes that Sicra is well-positioned for growth in a growing market.

– Sicra deserves a bigger place in the market. They solve complex challenges faster than competitors, sell only solutions and services that customers actually need, offer better technology than most others, and are the best at applying it effectively.

Sicra will now hire even more skilled senior consultants, experts with experience in building services, and strengthen the administration.

Valderhaug emphasizes that ambitions and growth should not come at the expense of the culture he describes as the bedrock of the business.
