More digital threats and increased regulatory requirements have led to high demand for Sicra’s offering of rented security expertise: CISO-for-hire. Sicra is now strengthening this initiative by hiring Eivind Seip Haugsnes.

Eivind Seip Haugsnes becomes part of Sicra’s team of experienced security leaders who assist organizations with strategic and operational security management.
“More cyber threats and increased regulatory requirements are currently creating major challenges for many organizations. Good security is not only about technology, but about structure, priorities, and anchoring in executive management. I look forward to helping organizations implement measures that strengthen their resilience against digital threats,” says Eivind Seip Haugsnes.
Haugsnes comes from the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at ECIT Solutions. He has more than 20 years of experience as a CISO, IT manager, advisor, and project manager. At ECIT, he was responsible for further developing security frameworks, managing IT risk, and certification and auditing of ISO 27001. He has broad experience with regulatory requirements and frameworks such as GDPR, NIS2, DORA, and NSM’s basic principles for ICT security.
Through previous roles at, among others, Braathe Gruppen, Sopra Steria, Logica, Vitusapotek, Norsk Medisinaldepot, and the Norwegian Armed Forces, he has built solid experience from both the private and public sectors and across various industries.
Haugsnes is certified CISSP and CISSP-ISSMP, holds the ISC2 Risk Management Certificate, and is educated as a Marketing Economist from BI. He combines technical understanding with strong business understanding and leadership support.
“Eivind brings solid experience from security management in many different organizations. He combines analysis, structure, and execution. He is also able to make security work relevant and understandable for both executive management and professional environments,” says Stig Valderhaug, CEO of Sicra.
Sicra’s CISO-for-hire service is aimed at organizations that need experienced security management and structured risk management, without having the capacity or resources to build the function internally. The goal is to make security an integrated part of corporate governance, with clear priorities, good reporting, and measures that can be implemented.
With the hiring of Eivind, Sicra continues to build a strong professional environment within strategic security management and compliance, tailored to organizations that want better oversight, clearer priorities, and increased digital resilience.
Haugsnes started at Sicra on March 2.
