At the same time as the cybersecurity companies Sicra and Bluetree announced their merger, Sicra has appointed Lars Petter Østlie as its new CFO.
– With the merger, we are entering an exciting new phase. Lars Petter brings the financial strength, structure, and strategic insight we need to realise the potential of the combined company, says Stig Valderhaug, CEO of Sicra.
With the consolidation of Sicra and Bluetree, the goal is to build a leading Nordic player within cybersecurity. Østlie will play a key role in ensuring financial robustness, effective integration, and scalable operations. He brings solid experience in business development, compliance, operational structure, and strategic leadership from companies such as Mova, Falck, and NHC Group.
– I am truly looking forward to contributing to Sicra’s continued growth. After many rewarding years in the health and fitness industry, it is both motivating and meaningful to step into cybersecurity and data security—an area that is becoming increasingly important for all organisations. Sicra has clear ambitions, a strong culture, and a clear mission. I am excited to work with the team and to help build on the journey already underway, says Østlie.
Continued investments in growth and competence
Sicra has experienced strong growth in recent years, with increasing demand from organisations seeking safer and more scalable security solutions. The merged company combines Sicra’s expertise in IT security and preparedness with Bluetree’s strengths in networking and OT security. The consolidation creates a broader service offering, stronger professional environments, and an even greater market presence.
– Sicra has a unique position and potential that truly inspires me. Being able to further develop the financial and operational structure of a company with such clear ambitions is something I am very much looking forward to, Østlie concludes.
Østlie will assume the role on January 1, 2026.
