What is spyware?
Spyware is a type of malware that monitors user activity without consent. It can capture keystrokes, screenshots, browsing history, and other sensitive information—sending it to a third party, often without the user’s knowledge.
Spyware is like a hidden surveillance camera—you don’t notice it, but it quietly watches everything you do.
Example
A user clicks a link in a phishing email and unknowingly installs software that secretly records keystrokes, including passwords and client information, then sends it to an external attacker.
