What is adware?
Adware is software that displays unwanted advertisements to users, often through pop-ups or banners. While not always malicious, it can degrade performance, disrupt user experience, and sometimes collect data without consent.
Adware is like a salesperson constantly knocking on your door – annoying, intrusive, and sometimes with hidden intentions.
Example
An employee installs a free PDF converter from an unknown site. The program begins showing ads and secretly tracks browsing behavior to serve targeted ads, without informing the user.
