– Sicra is efficient and solves tasks without needing to be hand-held

Uloba has had a collaboration with Sicra for many years on various areas related to security elements in the company’s infrastructure.

Uloba is a non-profit organization that works for full equality, social participation, and life fulfillment for people with disabilities. The goal is a diverse and inclusive society where there is room for everyone and where everyone has the same value.

One of the most important initiatives Uloba has implemented is the introduction of a new security system for access control, known as Single Sign-On (SSO). In this extensive work, Sicra has been responsible for most of the deliveries.

– Securing our services with SSO is both extensive and complex. Sicra helps us with that, says Losnedahl.

He adds that Uloba provides services to about 10,000 people where the organization manages personal data. This makes it necessary to place great emphasis on security and privacy.

– Our preferred infrastructure partner

Uloba also uses Sicra for procurement of technical infrastructure and network equipment.

– In such procurements, there is often a professional discussion about security and infrastructure, followed by a specification collaboration. Then Sicra is the supplier of the equipment we agree on.

Losnedahl emphasizes that Uloba has a very competent internal security manager.

– For us, as in most other businesses, it would be almost impossible to build an IT department that does everything itself. We buy supplementary expertise in infrastructure security from Sicra, which is our preferred partner in the area.

Competition for skilled resources

Uloba has used Håkon Jensen as a regular consultant for the development of Single Sign-On, but has also had other Sicra consultants on other tasks previously.

– We give a rating of 5+ for Håkon’s competence. Sicra’s consultants propose solutions and are very independent. Cost/benefit is completely acceptable, says Losnedahl.

He adds that the top rating is missed because Sicra also sells the highly sought-after specialist expertise to others, resulting in it taking a long time before they can get further help when the work is broken into several partial deliveries.

– Skilled security consultants are probably the most sought-after professional group in Norway. We are very satisfied with Sicra and understand that they are in demand in the market, but it is also a headache for us. However, we must take responsibility for that since we have not implemented Single Sign-On as a complete project.
