You originally come from Bluetree, which has recently merged with Sicra. What are your thoughts on the merger, and what expectations do you have for the transition from Bluetree to Sicra?
I think it is a very positive development, and that the merger will lead to new clients and exciting projects.
What do you work with, and which technologies do you use in your role today?
I currently work with solutions from Palo Alto Networks, NSX-T, Cisco SDA, and ISE. I have extensive experience with testing, troubleshooting, and documentation (SOP) from previous engagements.
What does your typical workday look like?
With my current client, I work on tasks related to firewalls, troubleshooting, and supporting deliveries.
What does success look like for you in your work?
Delivering work that meets client expectations and needs on time. Strong collaboration within the team is also important to me.
What do you find most rewarding to work with?
Solving problems and contributing to a good customer experience is rewarding, and I enjoy learning something new every day. I especially appreciate having the time to deepen my knowledge of a specific topic. I also look forward to collaborating with our new colleagues and developing professionally in new areas.
Which app or tool do you use the most in your daily work, and why?
At work, I mainly use Splunk and Teams.
Do you have a favorite quote?
I don’t have a favorite quote, but I like one by the French poet Nicolas Boileau-Despréaux, from the work L’Art poétique (1674).
Ce que l'on conçoit bien s’énonce clairement, Et les mots pour le dire arrivent aisément.
The quote may lose some of its “musical rhythm” in translation, but a common translation is:
“Whatever is well conceived is clearly said, and the words to say it flow with ease.”
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy going for walks and having board game nights with family and friends. With a good book, I can easily forget about the outside world. I have also been playing badminton for several years, without much progress.
