What is a whitehat?
A "whitehat" hacker is an ethical hacker who uses their skills to find and report vulnerabilities in computer systems—with permission from the system owner. In cybersecurity, whitehats are the "good" actors who help organizations improve their security posture before malicious hackers can exploit weaknesses.
Think of a whitehat like a locksmith hired to break into a house—not to steal anything, but to help the owner find out how to secure it better.
